The Laboratory Practical Work project was established in 2008 through a partnership between CEFA and the Belgian NGO ACTEC (Association for Cultural, Technical and Educational Cooperation), with financial support from the DGD (Directorate-General for Cooperation and Development). The project targets laboratory technicians, biologists, physicians, nurses, and students in nursing and laboratory technology. For two years, the project focused on "Multidimensional support to health facilities and institutes to develop laboratory skills in four provinces of the DRC."
