Presentation

The 1-health biomedical research institute is a biomedical research framework, created in 2020 under ministerial approval No. 068/MIN.RSTI/CAB.MIN/JMK/2020.

It was created to concentrate the efforts deployed in the field of research by the CEFA (Centre de Formation et d'Appui Sanitaire), an initiative of CECFOR asbl, associated with the Monkole Hospital Center. By a transfer deed established in 2024, the research activities of the CEFA and the IRB are integrated into those of DRCE, which enjoys total autonomy.
